Description

The LB 2800M is an advanced analog desalination unit featuring the patented Spectra Pearson Pump, which offers energy efficiencies comparable to large-scale industrial desalination plants. This compact, modular system is easy to install, service, and operate. It produces 120 gallons (444 liters) of potable water per hour from fresh, brackish, or seawater sources. The Pearson Pump is a breakthrough in pump design, combining a high-pressure piston pump with built-in energy recovery. This innovation recovers energy normally wasted in the high-pressure brine stream, saving up to 75% of the power required for standard reverse osmosis systems. The hydraulically locked recovery rate allows the system to produce the full rated volume of water from virtually any water source without user adjustments. Standard systems require operator adjustments as pressure changes, but our fixed recovery rate system eliminates the need for operator input and prevents membrane damage. The LB 2800M includes a gauge panel with membrane and boost pressure gauges, inlet and permeate flow meters, low boost pressure and high membrane pressure limit switches, Spectra's unique high-pressure module with Pearson Pump technology, 5-micron cartridge filters, and an installation kit. All landbased systems require a low-pressure feed pump (not included) based on site-specific requirements. Depending on the quality of the feed water available, media filters may also be required to ensure the prefilters last for a reasonable amount of time.

Quick Facts

• Simple analog controls and gauges, no electronics.
• Super efficient requiring typically less than 1200 watts to purify water, including feed pump, perfect for solar and wind power.
• Soft-start Lentz AC Tech speed controls means the system will never draw more than the rated power, no start-up spike. DC systems have the same soft start feature.
• Compact modules are easy to install and the single feed pump (not included) simplifies installation
• Composite construction for superb corrosion resistance
• Fixed system recovery for easy operation and long service life
